Community Guidelines

Last Updated: December 26, 2025

Welcome to the GigWise Active Tracker community! We've built this platform to help gig workers collaborate, share insights, and optimize their earnings. To maintain a positive, respectful, and productive environment, we ask all users to follow these Community Guidelines.

Violation of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.

1. Be Respectful & Supportive

✅ DO:

  • • Treat all users with kindness and respect
  • • Share helpful tips and strategies
  • • Celebrate others' achievements and milestones
  • • Offer constructive feedback when asked
  • • Support fellow gig workers during challenges

❌ DON'T:

  • • Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
  • • Use offensive, racist, sexist, or discriminatory language
  • • Engage in personal attacks or name-calling
  • • Share hateful or inflammatory content
  • • Threaten violence or harm toward anyone

2. Play Fair & Honestly

The reward system (Gig Points, missions, leaderboards) is designed to recognize genuine activity. Cheating ruins the experience for everyone.

🚫 STRICTLY PROHIBITED:

  • • GPS spoofing or location manipulation
  • • Using bots, scripts, or automation tools
  • • Creating multiple accounts ("multi-accounting")
  • • Sharing accounts with others
  • • Exploiting bugs or glitches for unfair advantages
  • • Coordinating with others to game the system
  • • Falsifying activity data or mission progress

⚠️ Cheating will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all Gig Points.

3. Protect Privacy & Personal Information

3.1 Your Privacy: Do NOT share your personal information publicly (full name, address, phone number, email, payment details).

3.2 Others' Privacy: Do NOT share or request other users' personal information without consent.

3.3 Location Sensitivity: Your location is already shared in a blurred format. Do NOT attempt to identify or track specific users based on their location.

3.4 Screenshots: If you share screenshots of the app, blur out usernames or identifying information to respect others' privacy.

4. No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion

We encourage sharing helpful resources, but excessive promotion is not allowed.

Allowed: Sharing gig strategy tips, recommending useful tools, discussing platform updates

Not Allowed:

  • Posting repetitive or irrelevant content
  • Advertising your own business, products, or services unrelated to gig work
  • Referral link spamming (unless explicitly permitted in designated areas)
  • Soliciting donations or money
  • Recruiting for MLM, pyramid schemes, or scams

5. Provide Accurate & Helpful Information

5.1 Honesty: Do NOT spread misinformation, fake news, or false rumors about gig platforms, the Service, or other users.

5.2 Constructive Feedback: If you encounter bugs or issues, report them to our support team (support@gigwise.life) rather than complaining publicly.

5.3 Verification: Before sharing tips or strategies, ensure they are accurate and based on your real experience.

6. Respect Intellectual Property

Do NOT:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our app content without permission
  • Use our logos, branding, or trademarks without authorization
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Create derivative works or unofficial versions of the Service
  • Upload copyrighted content you don't own (images, music, videos)

7. Safety First - Always

🚨 REMINDER: DO NOT USE THE APP WHILE DRIVING

Distracted driving is dangerous and illegal. Always pull over to a safe location before checking the app.

Community Responsibility:

  • • Do NOT encourage or pressure others to use the app while driving
  • • Report any content promoting unsafe driving practices
  • • Share safety tips and best practices with the community

8. No Illegal Activity

Do NOT use the Service for any illegal purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Facilitating drug deals, trafficking, or other crimes
  • Money laundering or financial fraud
  • Identity theft or impersonation
  • Hacking, phishing, or cyberattacks
  • Violating local, state, or federal laws

Illegal activity will be reported to law enforcement.

9. Respect Third-Party Platform Policies

While using GigWise Active Tracker, you must still comply with the terms of service and community guidelines of your gig platforms (DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub). We are NOT affiliated with these platforms. Violations of their policies may result in deactivation from their services.

Do NOT share content that could jeopardize your standing with gig platforms (e.g., revealing proprietary algorithms, encouraging policy violations).

10. Reporting Violations

If you witness a violation of these Community Guidelines, please report it to us:

Report Issues:

Email: support@gigwise.life

Subject Line: "Community Guidelines Violation"

Include details: username, date/time, description of violation, and screenshots if available.

We review all reports and take appropriate action. False reports or abuse of the reporting system will result in penalties.

11. Consequences for Violations

First Offense: Warning and removal of offending content

Second Offense: 7-day temporary suspension

Third Offense: 30-day suspension or permanent ban

Severe Violations: Immediate permanent ban (cheating, harassment, illegal activity, threats)

We reserve the right to take action at our discretion based on the severity of the violation.

12. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use GigWise Active Tracker. Minors are prohibited from creating accounts or using the Service. If we discover a minor using the app, we will terminate their account immediately.

13. Platform Updates & Feature Changes

We may introduce new features, modify existing ones, or discontinue certain aspects of the Service. While we value user feedback, final decisions rest with GigWise. Constructive feedback is welcome at feedback@gigwise.life.

14. Language & Accessibility

The primary language of the Service is English. While we welcome users from diverse backgrounds, please ensure your communications are understandable to the broader community. Use translation tools if needed.

15. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines periodically to reflect community feedback or policy changes. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the new guidelines.
